The more than 1000 kilometer distance between Johannesburg and Grahamstown is lined with many similar small towns. Most were established over 100 years ago and have at least one colonial-style church that occupies a prominent street.
Here's a look at some of them through my lens. Yes, please do enjoy my photographic skills. But also share with me what these images evoke in you. I could not help but notice a pattern. There seems to be a sustained effort to keep these symbolic pieces of architecture well taken care of. Hell, in some towns, that church is the only building that still looks good.
